Favourite all time Hearts Player | John Robertson, no contest. Others worthy of a mention in Easy, Robbo! Others in my time would include Bobby Prentice, Donald Ford, Henry Smith, Craig Levein, Gary Mackay, John Colquhoun, Sandy Clark, Alan McLaren and the whole team that won us the cup in 1998! |
Most memorable Game | See above!
To avoid being obvious, I would also mention the 1986 league game away to Dundee United, when we won 3-0 and looked like being on the way to winning the league. The support that day was unbelievable. Also the 5-1 victory over Locomotive Leipzig in 1975, against all odds. |
How often do you get to games | Every home game, with my two older sons (season tickets) and as many away games as I can get away with! |
Favourite English team | Manchester United (to compensate for my choice of Scottish team) |
Lowest moment | The climax to the 1986 season was a nightmare. The recent 3-0 defeat by Hibs is not far behind. |
Best Hearts goal | Good question. I'm going for Ian Ferguson's short free kick versus Bayern Munich.
Close behind would be any goal against Hibs. |
Best thing about being a Jambo | Are there any good things about being a Jambo?
Of course there are, not least being part of a great set of supporters who are totally committed to their team. I'd hate to support anyone else. |
Proudest moment | The long-awaited final whistle in the 1998 Cup Final |
How did you become a Jambo | My dad has always supported Dunfermline, so I must blame our next door neighbour who took my to Tynie in the early days.
I actually lived close to Easter Road in those days, but there was no contest. |
