How long a Hearts Supporter | 21-30 Years |
First Hearts match | v East Fife at Tynecastle (Dad was an East Fife man)
Scottish Cup Q/F 1976/77 ? 0-0 Replay win 3- 2 at Methil (only 20 mins. from my home) Totally taken by the big & noisy Hearts support |
How long a member of London Hearts | Not A Member |
How did you find out about London Hearts | Link from official Web Site |
Favourite all time Hearts Player | Has to be John Robertson (Digged us out of a hole so many times and for his goals against H***.) |
Most memorable Game | Hearts v H*** 1983/84 3-2 at Tynecastle Scottish Cup win for obvious reasons. All wins against H*** especially at ER in the 80,s |
How often do you get to games | Has dropped considerably now due to family committments and current negativity from Tynecastle
at the moment. Ideally would be at least once every 3 weeks. |
Favourite English team | You can only support one team (Hearts) |
Lowest moment | The present time i'm afraid. 2 Cup Semi defeats v Airdrie 91/92 & 94/95. Dens Park ? Seeing local team Raith Rovers winning trophy in 1993 after doing sod all for years - and having to watch mates, work colleagues and just about everyone else in celebration |
Best Hearts goal | Robbo's first ever goal against H*** I think in
season 1983/84 (20 yard curler past Roughie in the
top right hand corner) Don't recall cameras being there but can still picture it perfectly in my mind from 18 years ago. Does anyone have this on video ?? |
Best thing about being a Jambo | Never a dull moment "a rollercoaster". You get so many knocks that it makes you harden up for other apects of life. |
Proudest moment | Has to be the Scottish Cup win against Rangers in
1998. Bayern Munich 1988/89 (so unlucky to go out over 2 legs) |
How did you become a Jambo | After witnessing the support at that East Fife cup
game mentioned previously. Started taking an interest
in the team. Started going regularly over in the train
from Fife when 16. Probably wasn't too difficult changing allegiances from East Fife to Hearts. |
