BAD LOCKE FOR COMEBACK STAR

GARY LOCKE reckons he's got no chance of getting a game for Hearts on Saturday.

Locke put in a fine shift and scored a goal during a 4-0 friendly win against Morton on Monday night.

But he doesn't expect to be recalled to the side to face Rangers after missing last weekend's 4-1 win against St Johnstone through suspension.

Locke was disappointed to miss out at Perth but the Jambos diehard was delighted at the promise showed by his team-mates, especially after a poor start last season.

Locke said: "Everyone played very well. It was just an excellent all-round performance.

"To be realistic, it's difficult to see the manager changing too many things for the Rangers game, although it would be nice to be involved."

The meeting with a strong Morton side was full of pluses for boss Jim Jefferies.

Locke's fellow defender Gary Naysmith was back after injury and played alongside Rob McKinnon.

But there was no place again for injured Scotland defender Paul Ritchie although he was back at training yesterday.

Steven Pressley missed the session but he hopes to be fit to face his former team on Saturday.
