ROBINS WANT MILLER FEE

Bristol City have told Hearts they will demand a fee for Lee Miller if they want to keep him at Tynecastle.

The 21-year-old is on loan at the Edinburgh club until the end of the season having failed to make an impact at Ashton Gate.

But the former Falkirk forward has lost no time in becoming a key member of John Robertson's side and has scored in each of his last three games, including Wednesday night's 3-1 Tennent's Scottish Cup replay at Kilmarnock.

That meant Miller had netted five goals in eight games since returning to Scotland.

Robertson is keen to take the youngster on a full-time contract having been given the go-ahead to do so from new owner Vladimir Romanov.

And that represents a decision in waiting from Robertson's ex-Newcastle team-mate Brian Tinnion, who is the Robins' player-boss.

Tinnion told the Western Daily Press: "Lee has gone up there and done well. I wanted him to play games and it's been a good move for him.

"We would be looking for a fee and to be honest he will probably be wanting to go back up to Scotland but we will have to have a chat about it.

"He's still got two years left on his contract."

Miller cost City, who were then managed by Danny Wilson, £325,000 in the summer of 2003.

So far, he has managed just nine goals in 58 appearances for the west country outfit.
