BOSS NOT EXPECTING ANY HEART ACHE NOW

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE CRUNCH...
By Gary Ralston

AEK Athens boss Lorenzo Serra Ferrer last night claimed his side have nothing to fear.

The veteran Spaniard reckons only complacency from his side will cost them a place in the Champions League group stage.

Serra Ferrer said: "I don't fear anything. I respect Hearts but we're not scared of them and while it is good if players worry before matches they cannot afford to be weak.

"We cannot afford to be overconfident either and must look to continue what we started in Scotland by pressing Hearts high, dominating the midfield and trying to score more goals."

AEK were criticised by the Greek media for wasting several good chances in their goalless draw with PAOK Salonika on Saturday night in their first league game of the season.

The same criticism could have been levelled for 89 minutes at Murrayfield before Pantelis Kapetanos and Nikolaos Lymperopoulos struck decisive late strikes to devastate the Jambos, who had taken a lead against the odds through Saulius Mikoliunas.

But Serra Ferrer said: "It's more important we're creating the chances to score. Sometimes you need luck in front of goal but we must remain organised."

Midfielder Lymperopoulos, who netted the winner at Murrayfield a fortnight ago, is hoping to pile on the agony again.

The Greeks are without Italian keeper Stefano Sorrentino, who is injured, and he'll be replaced by Greek cap Dionisis Chiotis.

It is likely to be the only change in their line-up from the first leg and skipper Lymperopolous - amazingly one of three captains officially listed by AEK - insists complacency will not be an issue.

He said: "When we first learned of our opponents we knew our chances to progress to the group stages were 50-50.

"After the first leg we hold a slight advantage but we can't afford to think about the first game now.

"We will have over 45,000 fans cheering us but we don't feel pressure from them to qualify for the next stage. They only ask us to try hard and if we play as we can I'm confident we'll be okay.

"I scored the winner last time and I hope I disappoint the Scots again."
