Gary Glen signs new Hearts dealCOLLEEN PATERSON GARY GLEN today handed Hearts a boost when he agreed a new four-year deal with the Tynecastle club. Glen, 18, made his first start for the Gorgie club in last weekend's 3-2 win over St Mirren, netting his first goal in the process. The young striker earned rave reviews for his man-of-the-match performance against the Buddies and his efforts in the reserves have clearly not gone unnoticed. Glen, who made his first appearance for Hearts as a substitute against Dundee United just over 12 months ago, is now tied to the Tynecastle outfit until the summer of 2012 and the player admitted: "I am delighted to sign the new deal. "Obviously there is a lot of hard work ahead of me but, having experienced first-team football this season, I want to keep my head down and try to gain more opportunities.  Taken from the Scotsman |
