Ross County 2-2 Heart of Midlothian

From Hearts Media at Global Energy Stadium.

Hearts left Dingwall with a share of the spoils after a hotly contested 2-2 draw with Ross County at the Global Energy Stadium.

Gaffer John McGlynn stuck with the same team that defeated Dundee in midweek and the Jambos were lively from the start. Superb play from Billy King down the right saw him lay the ball off for the oncoming Holt whose shot was saved by Mark Brown.

Ryan Stevenson was also in on the act and was unlucky to see his powerful shot drag wide of the County goal.

Despite bossing much of the play the Jambos found themselves a goal down after 20 minutes when Rocco Quinn's deflected shot found its way past Jamie Macdonald whose view was obstructed by the pack of players in the box.

The Jambos roared back in to the match within ten minutes after a brilliant individual goal from Michael Ngoo. The through ball from Holt left Ngoo with his man to beat and some neat trickery took him round the defender and allowed him to unleash a sublime shot past Mark Brown.

After the half time break Hearts were fired up to put themselves ahead in the match for the first time and after 62 Minutes Jamie Walker did just that with his first senior goal for the club. Neat link up play initially between Ngoo and Mullen allowed Fraser time to thread the ball in to the box where it was met by the head of Walker, who looped it past Brown to nestle in the bottom corner. It was no more than the Jambos deserved.

Ryan Stevenson came close again with another piledriver shot which Brown pushed into the path of Billy King who was eventually unable to connect due to a last ditch tackle from Oikinomou.

Defensively Hearts looked comfortable and focused and were keen to play the passing game in the hunt for goal number three. Andrew Webster came close with a sublime volley from a corner but again Brown just managed to see the ball out of play.

A cruel blow in stoppage time saw Ross County bag the equaliser after Iain Vigurs pounced in the box.

The Jambos head back down the A9 with a point but a lot of confidence from the overall performance.
