SPL Preview: Hearts V Hibernian

These two might be seventh and eighth in the SPL but there is NO such thing as a meaningless Edinburgh derby.

And the fact the Jambos moved above the Hibees for the first time in months last weekend has added extra spice to the Sunday’s showdown.

The pair have met three times in the league this season and drawn all three. Hibs won their Scottish Cup clash in November.

And it is twelve years since Hearts have gone through a season without beating their city rivals.

That’s something Gary Locke will be desperate to put right, so expect Pat Fenlon to play all his big guns even though they have a Scottish Cup final to prepare for in a fortnight’s time.
