Stephane loves the final day action.

Hearts' French ace Stephane Adam wouldn't mind a repeat of the score the first time he saw the Tynecastle club play Rangers when the sides square up today at Celtic Park.

The striker celebrated his move from Metz to the Jambos by watching them defeat the then Scottish champs 3-1 in the final league game of last season.

And he would settle for a similar scoreline in the Scottish Cup final.

Adam, who scored twice in the semi-final to bring down First Division Falkirk at Ibrox, is enjoying life at Hearts and says the club is like one big, happy family.

He said: "Everyone has been very friendly towards me, the coaching staff, the players and all those connected with the club.

"I have had no trouble settling in as the team spirit is brilliant and there is a lot of quality in the squad.

"We've had a good season and cup finals are always special days. Playing in a packed stadium is very exciting. I have appeared in two cup finals in France and they are occasions to savour and enjoy."

Adam linked up with his fellow Frenchman, goalkeeper Gilles Rousset, at Hearts and the former Sochaux and Rennes stopper is desperate to avoid an action replay of the cup final meeting between the clubs two years ago.

Rangers romped home 5-1 with Rousset guilty of a schoolboy error which led to the second goal by Brian Laudrup.

He said: "I was sad and crying in the dressing room after the game when John Robertson came up to me and told me I shouldn't worry.

"Everyone at the club was so good to me. Their encouragement helped me through that summer and restored my confidence at a difficult time.

"We suffered that day from the lack of depth in the squad but the manager has brought in some very good players since then.

"I feel we are much stronger this time and it is a tremendous achievement to qualify for another cup final.

"We know Rangers will be favourites to win again but hopefully this time it will be Hearts who come out on top."
