COL'S SUPERB FIRST TOUCH.

Cool-headed Colin Cameron fired Hearts to a dream start from the penalty spot with his FIRST TOUCH.

Col had to beat team-mate Neil McCann to the ball before rasping home the second minute spot-kick.

And after the game the Jambos ace revealed that he's only missed one penalty in his entire career.

He said: "The only one I missed was for Raith Rovers against Airdrie in the B&Q Challenge Cup.

"Then a few weeks later I took another one against them and scored.

"It was my first touch of the ball today. Neil wanted to take it but I'm the usual penalty taker so I told him no chance.

"I took over that job from John Robertson and I will still be there until I miss one for Hearts. "

And he reckoned it was crucial that Hearts scored the first goal - because it turned the tables on a Rangers side so used to protecting a lead.

He said: "On previous occasions Rangers have shown they are hard to pull back. You have to take the game to them.

"It was a bit of a turnaround seeing us sitting back a bit and looking to hit them on the break.

"We didn't create many chances but at the end of the day it's about sticking the ball in the back of the net and we did that today.

"The last 15 minutes were torture. It felt more like 45 minutes than 15 but we managed to hold out.

"Now we've set the standard by winning a trophy Hearts have failed to claim for 30-odd years.

"It will be hard to better it but we're an ambitious club and must look to improve on this season."

Gilles Rousset took two-and-a-half hours to provide a drugs test for SFA chiefs and had to down two bottles of CHAMPAGNE to give them it.

The brilliant French keeper kept the Jambos bus waiting outside Parkhead until 7.30 - but promised to make it up to his team- mates afterwards.

Rousset grinned: "There will be plenty more going where that went over the next few days!"

But he added: "I was worried in the last five minutes that the referee had given a penalty against us.

"Fortunately he didn't because it was right on the edge of the box - but I would have saved it anyway! "
