Robbie Neilson 8 Delivered cross for de Vries to set up Webster and the cross for Hartley's strike. Can't ask for more than that. Steven Pressley 7 Typical captain's role. Tower of strength in middle of defence although rarely under extreme pressure.

Andy Webster 7 Scored and made some timely tackles, one on striker Nabil Baha in the first half stopped him in his tracks.

Alan Maybury 7 No-nonsense display. Did not give the Braga attack much change.

Joe Hamill 7 Made some telling passes and worked hard to create openings for the frontmen.

Patrick Kisnorbo 8 Always prepared to get stuck in and helped Hearts take a firm grip of the midfield. Scored terrific third goal.

Paul Hartley 9 Classy display in midfield. Had some great runs and used the ball well. Superb finish for Hearts' second goal.

Jamie McAllister 7 Underlined his intentions in first six minutes with a couple of drives which were not far off target.

Phil Stamp 8 Pushed up front because of the striking crisis, he put in a power of work. Unlucky with a lob pushed away by the keeper and just inches away with a thundering drive.

Mark de Vries 7 Caused Braga all sorts of problems, almost won a penalty and set up Webster's opener.
