Rangers v Hearts on last day of SPL

RANGERS will be at home to Hearts in what could be a Champions League play-off in their last game of the season after the Bank of Scotland Premierleague post-split fixtures were announced.

The Tynecastle side hold a three-point lead over Alex McLeish's team in the race for second place in the SPL with four games left to play, but also face champions Celtic at Tynecastle on 30 April before the potentially crucial Ibrox clash on Sunday, 7 May.

Another intriguing last-day clash is Kilmarnock versus Hibernian, with the sides fighting to finish fourth. If Rangers claim second place and Hearts win the Tennent's Scottish Cup, the side finishing fourth will qualify for the UEFA Cup. Hibs are currently one point above Kilmarnock.

No decision has been made yet on what match Setanta Sports will broadcast live on the final weekend of the season.

It was also confirmed that new league champions Celtic will be presented with the Bank of Scotland Premierleague trophy immediately after their home match with Hibernian this Sunday. That match will be screened live by Setanta.

The final Old Firm match of the season takes place the following weekend, at Parkhead. The kick-off time will be confirmed after discussion with Strathclyde Police, and the match will be screened live. Celtic fans have seen their last match at Parkhead on a Saturday this season, with all of the champions' remaining fixtures scheduled for Sundays and a Wednesday.

The other live fixtures on Setanta are Hearts v Celtic on Sunday 30 April, kick-off 2pm; and Hibernian v Rangers on Tuesday 2 May, kick off 7.45pm.
