Hearts fans to be in the picture as club announce derby TV

MARK BONTHRONE

AN EXTRA 600 Hearts supporters are to get the chance to watch this weekend's crunch Edinburgh derby after the club announced plans to beamback the game to Tynecastle.

With the Gorgie club selling their full allocation for the trip across the city thousands of fans were left disappointed when their applications for tickets were unsuccessful.

They faced missing out on the eagerly anticipated clash altogether with no live television coverage scheduled as Hearts bid to hold off the challenge of Rangers for a place in the Champions League next season.

However, the Jambos have agreed a deal that will see the match shown live on several big screens in the Gorgie Suite.

Supporters who applied but failed to secure a brief for the Easter Road clash are to be given first option to buy a maximum of two tickets each for the event and these will be on sale today and tomorrow.

Subject to availability a public sale will commence at 9.30am on Friday morning.

The beamback is only open to fans over 18 years of age and there will be a cash bar facility as well as the option to buy food.

Tickets for the event have been priced at £15 and there are no concessions available.
