Jambos unveil season plan that's just the ticket

BARRY ANDERSON

HEARTS are launching their first ever "away" season tickets on the back of an astonishing 84 per cent increase in the number of fans who follow the club around the country.

Tynecastle regulars now have the chance to guarantee their tickets for away games and avoid anxious ballots by paying £450 as part of the new scheme, which will see them secure briefs for all away league matches but not cup or European games.

Hearts have around 700 "away" season tickets available and are expecting considerable interest from supporters.

A Hearts spokesperson said: "Hearts' travelling support has turned some away games into 'home games', as witnessed when we took more than 6000 fans to Livingston and 5500 to Dundee United this season. Our travelling support has increased by 84 per cent this season when compared to last season and tickets for our fans are often limited away from home.

"We regularly fill the away allocation at places such as Falkirk, Inverness, Kilmarnock, Dunfermline, Hibs, Rangers and Celtic.

"From a purely logistical point of view, the away season tickets will also help fans and the club by reducing the need for ballots, queues and postal applications."

The "away" season ticket is only available to those who own a season ticket for Tynecastle, and in the event of the total number of away tickets costing less than the £450 price come the end of the season then the club has promised to reimburse fans with merchandise vouchers.
