SPL BIG MATCH SPECIAL
Compiled By David Mccarthy

RANGERS

Ronald Waterreus 8

Fine saves from Pospisil, Skacel and Aguiar.

Ian Murray 6

Did well at right-back before being moved to his more comfortable slot on the left.

Sotirios Kyrgiakos 7

Produced one of his best displays when it didn't really matter.

Marvin Andrews 6

Won everything in the air and most things on the deck. Comfortable afternoon.

Stevie Smith 6

Linked well with Prso on left and kept Beslija quiet until coming off just after the break.

Chris Burke 5

Not one of his better days .

Brahim Hemdani 6

Probed and prompted intelligently.

Gavin Rae 7

Showed urgency and got forward to good

effect. Perfect pass made the second goal.

Dado Prso 7

Usual great leadership qualities and tested Barassa's defensive qualities throughout.

Peter Lovenkrands 5

Didn't get involved nearly enough in his role off Boyd. Switched left before being taken off.

Kris Boyd 7

One shocking miss but always on the lookout for a chance and inevitably grabbed the goals .

Subs

Alex Rae - put himself about in farewell appearance, 5. Thomas Buffel - had a couple of chances, 2. Lee Robinson - Young keeper got last 12 minutes, 3.

HEARTS

Steven Banks 6

Well protected by his defence and rarely tested but had no chance with the goals.

Nerijus Barassa 7

Fiery, competitive right-back who had his hands full with Prso but did fine.

Martin Petras 6

Was doing well in central defence but like the rest lost Boyd for the opener.

Christophe Berra 7

Looked assured and composed at centre-back. Definitely one for the future.

Lee Wallace 6

Arare outing for the left-back but he looked strong and athletic and handled Burke well.

Mirsad Beslija 5

Good pace but rarely got the opportunity to show it. Didn't do much to enhance his cup final

chances.

Julien Brellier 6

Looked short of match practice but did his usual effective job in the holding role.

Bruno Aguiar 7

Played further forward than normal and looked the part. Denied by brilliant save.

Rudi Skacel 6

Courted controversy as usual and was booked. Did well when he concentrated on the game

Calum Elliot 6

Youngster flitted in and out but teamed up well with Pospisil on occasion.

Michal Pospisil 5

Tested Waterreus but guilty of a couple of misses.

Subs

Lee Johnston - looked tenacious in midfield, 4. Juho Makela - made little impression, 2. Saulius Mikoliunas - only given nine minutes, 2.
