CUP FINAL SPECIAL: TODAY'S THE DAY FOLKS

THE last man to score a winner against Gretna at Hampden reckons the Second Division champions are in for a tough time against Hearts.

Queen's Park midfielder Stuart Kettlewell, left, struck minutes from time to send Rowan Alexander's side to a 3-2 defeat last term as they raced towards the Third Division title.

It was his first goal after more than 18 months in the Queen's first team.

The 21-year-old scored again on Gretna's next visit to the Spiders more than four months later - but failed to find the net against anyone else in between.

Kettlewell, who has only five goals to his credit in the senior game, said: "I can only score against the good teams.

"I remember the first goal because the timing was a bit special and Gretna were beating everybody at that time. My second against them came from probably one of the best moves we produced all season.

"And when Ross Clark delivered the ball, I just got my head to it and it found the back of the net.

"But Gretna will have a lot more to worry about with the likes of Paul Hartley in the opposition.

"I think they'll put up a decent fight but I'm afraid Hearts will have just too much firepower for them.

"However, you never know what will happen in a cup tie. I'm sure very few people fancied them to get this far."
