ELLIOT IS HEARTS EUROPE DOUBTGordon Parks CALUM ELLIOT could miss the start of Hearts' Champions League and SPL campaigns. The striker pulled up in Scotland Under-19s' defeat from Spain. Coach Tommy Wilson admitted the injury could lead to Elliot being flown home early from Poland but ruled out any backlash from Tynecastle. Hearts face a Champions League qualifier against Bosnia's Siroki Breijeg on Wednesday and Wilson knows losing Elliot is blow to club and country. He said: "Calum came to us with a slight hamstring injury but we nursed him along and he seemed fine. But he has slightly damaged it again. "We'll see how he is over the next few days then speak to Calum and Hearts. If need be we'll send him back. "I don't think there is any issue or problem with his club."  Taken from the Daily Record |
