RED-CARDED STAR BROKE MY FINGER

HEARTS star Robbie Neilson was last night accused of breaking a fan's finger after furiously kicking the ball into the crowd as he was sent off.

The Scotland defender's temper tantrum came after he was ordered off the pitch in the last minute of his side's match against Rangers, who won 2-0.

Suzanne Browne, of Cumbernauld, near Glasgow, claims the ball broke her finger.

The carer was injured when she thrust out her hand to prevent the ball hitting her disabled pal David Black. Suzanne, 42, said: "It was coming straight for David, who has cerebal palsy and is in a wheelchair.

"There was no way he could have got out of the way. I put my hand out to try to stop it and it bent my pinkie back.

"I can't move it now and I'm in agony. I'm sure it's broken.

"He meant to kick the ball into the crowd.

"It went really high and was coming down at us at a hell of a speed.

"If it had hit David it could have been really dangerous.

"It's not like had any reason to complain-he deserved the red card.

"David and I haven't missed a Rangers home game in seven years. He's a member of the Rangers Disabled Supporters' Club and has never seen anything like this.

"I was supposed to be having a party for the charity I work for but this has totally spoiled it. I want Neilson to apologise.

"He can't go around acting like that. These people must control their tempers."

Last night a spokesman for Hearts said: "I'm sure he's really sorry.

"He was very angry with himself and, instinctively kicked the ball. There was no spite in it.

"It's an unfortunate incident and I hope the woman has a speedy recovery."
