I WON'T QUITRomanov is defiant as row rumbles on By Euan Mclean VLADIMIR ROMANOV last night insisted he won't walk away from Hearts after backing down in the war with the rebel trio who blasted him on Friday. Jambos' owner let Steven Pressley, Paul Hartley and Craig Gordon play in a 1-1 home draw with Dunfermline yesterday. It highlighted the power of the three Scots stars whose statement on Friday blew I the lid off simmering player unrest. The fans made it clear whose side they were on by chanting Pressley's name. But the cheers turned to boos after a dismal Romanov is defiant as row rumbles on draw that could see Hearts slip 10 points behind Celtic if the leaders beat Kilmarnock today. Romanov, who copped flak for threatening to sell the whole team if they failed to beat the Pars, tried to take the sting out of the row with his own statement yesterday. He said: "I'm on course and I'm not going to be blown off course. I still believe in what I'm doing and I will complete the task. "I know my methods surprise a lot of people in this country but I'm committed to Hearts." Taken from the Sunday Mail |
