Fat lady sings if Celtic break Hearts!- Paddy Power Promises Title Payout If Celtic Win On Saturday- With Celtic already ten points clear at the top of the SPL bookie Paddy Power today announce they will declare the title race over if Gordon's Strachan's boys beat Hearts on Saturday. The bookie will payout on all single bets on Celtic to win the SPL and its odds-on punters will be cheering come 5pm on Saturday with Celtic just 4/9 to beat a troubled Hearts team. The Bhoys are already just 1/14 to retain their title. Paddy Power, head of communications for the bookie, said: "With Celtic flying it will be the first payout of the season by any bookie for any division and it's a promise to our punters they'll be quids in if they win. "The SPL race might be in danger of being a damp squib this season but on Guy Fawkes weekend this could be a real sparkler for Celtic backers. We know and the punters know the SPL race is all but over so the winnings are better off back in people's pockets." Betting Odds Current Start of Season Celtic 1/14 4/5 Rangers 11/2 5/4 Hearts 33/1 8/1 Paddy Power are famous for being the first to call title races over, even paying out on Chelsea after just seven games of The Premiership last season. But we haven't always got it right and there could still be hope for Hearts and Rangers. Paddy Power paid-out early on Arsenal in the 2002/2003 season only to have to pay out again when Manchester United pipped them to the title. With 22 SPL matches still to be played anything might happen in the funny old game. To keep things interesting Paddy Power are also betting on how many points clear Celtic will finish at the top: How Many Points Clear Will Celtic Finish In The SPL This Season? 5/4 Up to & Including 14 2/1 15-17 Inclusive 5/4 18 or more 5/1 Celtic to not win the SPL http://www.itv-football.co.uk |
