Brellier left Easter Road, admits agent

THE agent of Hearts midfielder Julien Brellier has revealed his client left Easter Road before Wednesday's game with Hibs, and has called for an end to the "escalating" dispute between club and player, writes Ewan Murray

Brellier, who has never been popular with Hearts owner Vladimir Romanov, was omitted from the squad for the CIS Cup tie. It was initially thought he had stayed to watch the game but agent Mauricio Di Giorgis admitted: "Yes, Julien left the ground because he was not going to play and did not feel good. He did not storm out. He was given permission to go home by the coach. There was no row."

Di Giorgis added: "Things are escalating into a situation that nobody wants, it is getting stupid. Everyone thinks that Julien deserves to play, Julien wants to play and he has received no explanation as to why he hasn't been playing."
