VLAD FLIES IN TO SORT OUT CRISIS

By Gavin Berry

VLADIMIRROMANOV is set for an emergency return to Scotland this week in a bid to finally sort out the mess at Tynecastle.

The Hearts owner was scheduled to stay in Lithuania during November because of a hectic schedule with his other business interests.

But he will now put everything on hold and give the Jambos his full attention after being told of the severity of the crisis in Gorgie.

In a desperate phone call one highranking club official told Romanov the current situation is "as bad as it gets" and he will act in an attempt to stop a fans' revolt.

Vlad is not expected at Tynecastle for today's crucial clash with Rangers where he would almost certainly face a backlash from supporters.

But he is due in Scotland within the week where he is scheduled to finally break his media silence and meet fans' groups to put his point across.

Supporters are demanding answers over the alleged plot to oust Steven Pressley as skipper and his axing from the squad to face Falkirk last Monday along with Paul Hartley's relegation to the bench. A club source said: "Vladimir is aware of the issues with the club at the moment and we are told he is going to make moves to clear everything up."

Meanwhile, Paul Le Guen has revealed he's been ignoring the turmoil at Tynecastle - because he has enough problems of his own to worry about.

Rangers and Hearts are locked together in joint third in the SPL on 22 points ahead of today's head-to-head.

And with just six league wins from 14 outings Ibrox boss Le Guen knows he has to sort out HIS team before looking at anyone else's.

Asked if Hearts' situation would help Gers he said: "It's not my problem. My job is to watch games and that's what I did last Monday.

"But I have enough problems with my own team."

The one area Rangers haven't had issues in is Europe. However, Le Guen insists Thursday's tie with Auxerre comes a distant third in his list of priorities for the week.

The Ibrox side only need a point to reach the knockout stages but Le Guen said: "Auxerre is a difficult game because we need a result to qualify.

"But it's less important than the Hearts clash and even next Sunday's game against Kilmarnock. My priority is the championship."
