REPEAT WILL DO FOR BULLBy Michael Baillie ST MIRREN keeper Tony Bullock has vowed to add to Hearts' woes this weekend by repeating his Tynecastle heroics. Gus MacPherson's men stunned then high-flying Hearts in September with a 1-0 smash-and-grab raid on the capital. And the Buddies' No. 1 was one of the main reasons they picked up three points as he defied the Jambos on numerous occasions. Both Saints and Hearts go into Saturday's Love Street clash on the back of a run of poor results and Bullock is hoping to help his side get one over the Jambos again. He said: "That game at Tynecastle was just one of those days. All goalkeepers will tell you they have them from time to time - one of those games where you save everything. "I just seemed to be in the right place at the right time and a couple of shots hit my face. On another day we could have been beaten 4-0. "But it wasn't just me, John Potter cleared one off the line and Andy Millen was exceptional in defence. "It was one of those days no one can put their finger on how it happened but when it does you relish it. "We're at home on Saturday and the onus will be on us to take the game to Hearts. "We'll be out to get the three points and keep Hearts in the turmoil they are in just now." Bullock insists St Mirren's recent winless streak has not affected the squad's confidence. He said: "We haven't won in our last seven games but three of those games were against the top three sides Celtic, Rangers and Aberdeen. "We're not too despondent, although we do need to get a win soon. But we're still working hard and hopefully it will turn for us." ![]() Taken from the Daily Record |
