HEARTS Player ratings: Hearts

HEARTS Jamie MacDonald: Afforded a surprisingly uneventful afternoon.

Less than convincing trying to claim a Tom Soares free-kick but Hibs' desperate deliveries meant such a frailty was rare. 6

Ryan McGowan: Defensively untroubled, he attacked. His shot fell for Darren Barr to open the scoring, and he got Hearts' fourth from Stephen Elliot's flick. 7

Andy Webster: Strolled through, his only uncertaint moment coming when he let Garry O'Connor block his attempts to stop Tom Soares' cross for Hibs' goal. 6

Marius Zaliukas: His most difficult duty was heaving the trophy into the air, such was the impotence of Hibs' attacks. 6

Danny Grainger: Another with licence to advance, but more restrained than McGowan. His dead-ball deliveries caused problems, his conversion of the penalty was brutally efficient. 6

Suso Santana: Demonstrative, divisive-but dangerous too, here. Had a shot blocked on the goalline by James McPake at 2-0, before drawing Pa Kujabi's second booking just after the break to earn a penalty. 7

Darren Barr: The shield that protected the Hearts back four and scorer of the opening goal. 6

Ian Black: Hibs had no-one to dictate the tempo or spread the play like he did. Perhaps lucky to escape censure for leading with his elbow in a challenge on Leigh Griffiths, the applause upon his late withdrawal spoke volumes. 8

Andrew Driver: Persistent pest down the left, showcasing glimpses of the ability that brought him such repute a few seasons ago. Gave Matt Doherty an uncomfortable afternoon. 7

Rudi Skacel: A game-changer. The way he dropped into space, turned, then lashed in Hearts' second was indicative of his talent, as was his second strike. The only surprise was that he didn't complete his hat-trick. 8

Stephen Elliott: Run, shout, check, dart, run. Repeat until fade. The striker may not have scored but his movement made the space for others to thrive. 6

Substitutes: Craig Beattie replaced Santana and ended the afternoon dragging McPake away from referee Craig Thomson. Medhi Taouil and Scott Robinson came on in the final minutes.

Paulo Sergio: Composed on the touchline, his attempts to console every member of the Hibs side was a mark of his character. 6
