Vlad you could make itBy ROBERT MARTIN Published: 15th March 2013 1 SKINT Hearts owner Vladimir Romanov looks certain to be at Hampden for the League Cup Final. The absentee owner has been nowhere to be seen as the Jambos have been engulfed by financial problems. But SunSport understands Tynecastle officials have been told the 66-year-old will be at the final against St Mirren. It will be the first time he has watched the Jambos in person since their Europa League clash with Liverpool last August. This visit could also prove to be his last, as uncertainty continues to surround his future involvement at Tynecastle. Romanov has repeatedly stated he is willing to sell his majority shareholding in Hearts, after claiming he had lost most of his £250million fortune when his Lithuanian bank Ukio Bankas collapsed. Hearts have struggled to pay wages this season and were forced to raise over £1m in a share issue just to stay in business. It remains to be seen what kind of reception he will receive from the fans.  |
