King wants improvement

Billy King has admitted that today's 0-0 draw against Queen of the South one of the team's toughest matches of pre-season.

The Jambos spent large periods under the cosh but emerged with a clean sheet, a positive that hasn't evaded Billy.

Speaking exclusively to Hearts News, Billy said: "It was extremely hard in this heat and they're a really good side. They worked really hard and it was tough to play in, like getting used to the pitch because it was quite sticky.

"We kept a clean sheet but we didn't really create many chances. We need to try and improve in the final third for the next game.

"We've had three games in a week so it's going to be tough on bodies and legs, especially in this heat. I think we did well to keep a clean sheet."
