Hearts boss storms off after loss

Hearts head coach Valdas Ivanauskas refused to speak to the media following his side's 2-0 home Scottish Premier League defeat by Kilmarnock.

A Hearts spokesman told BBC Sport: "He is not speaking to the press. He has bigger things to worry about.

"Valdas is mightily disappointed and wants to have a chance to watch the game before he comments."

It was being suggested that Ivanauskas was on the telephone to owner Vladimir Romanov, who is out of the country.

However, the spokesman said: "He went straight to his office after the match and began watching a re-run of the game, which he normally leaves until the following day.

"He spoke to the team about how disappointed he was with the way the match unfolded, but I assure you there is nothing more to read into it than this."

Romanov last season sacked George Burley and Graham Rix but has so far remained loyal to Ivanauskas, who was initially a caretaker boss but under whom Hearts won the Scottish Cup.
