'I've enough troubles of my own without worrying about Hearts'

COLLEEN PATERSON

PAUL LE GUEN today insisted he has paid no attention to the turmoil at Tynecastle, simply because he has had so many problems of his own to deal with, writes COLLEEN PATERSON.

Rangers travel to the capital tomorrow but the Frenchman spent this week out of the glare of publicity thanks to events at Tynecastle.

Hearts have dominated the headlines for all the wrong reasons, however Le Guen feels the events of the past few days will have no bearing on tomorrow's showdown.

He said: "I don't really want to talk about the problems at Hearts. I have enough to be worrying about myself without talking about them. We will just wait and see what happens in the game.

"I watched their game against Falkirk on Monday night on TV as it was important to see them, but there are always many things that can change in their team.

"I feel it is the priority for me to be worrying about the strengths of my own team, to make sure we go into this game in the right way and play well.

"From that point of view it's been good to have a quiet week. We've had eight good days working hard on things after a very tough period of four games in 12 days."

Le Guen is well aware that tomorrow's trip signals the start of yet another big week with Auxerre away on Thursday night in the Uefa Cup and Kilmarnock at home next weekend in the SPL. But making it perfectly clear of where his priorities lie, he added: "It could be an important time for us. But getting two wins against Hearts and Kilmarnock is more important than anything else.

"The main objective has to be our league position and we are not in a good situation. We need wins in the SPL, in the UEFA Cup we have had two great victories and that could be enough to go through, although one point in Auxerre would make it certain for us."

Allan McGregor will again continue in goal for Rangers despite Lionel Letizi being fit again and Libor Sionko is available again, but Julien Rodriguez is still out with a leg injury, although he is back in light training.
