Frustrated Fyssas may quit HeartsFrustrated Fyssas could be forced out of Tynecastle Takis Fyssas is all set to leave Hearts at the end of the season, according to the the defender's agent. Paul Koutsoliakos met with Tynecastle chairman Roman Romanov last weekend and expressed Fyssas' frustration at being left on the sidelines in recent weeks. "Normally, Takis likes to play with Hearts and stay in Edinburgh, but it makes no sense to stay if he is not going to be involved," he said. "He is a Greek international and has to be playing regularly at club level." The 33-year-old Fyssas has featured just four times for Hearts since August with the latest being a late substitute appearance against Celtic at Parkhead. "If things do not change, we will have to find a solution. I don't know what will happen," Koutsoliakos added. "I think he will stay at the club until the summer anyway, but he will maybe have to look for something else if he continues to be left out. "There has been no explanation over why he has not been playing." Koutsoliakos believes that Fyssas' exclusion from the first team has been due to interim head coach Eduard Malofeev and not owner Vladimir Romanov. "The president of the club is a big admirer of Takis, so you can only assume that Malofeev has had full control over team selection recently. "Things, however, could change again should a new coach come in." ![]() Taken from the BBC |
