£10K HARRY WAND FOR ROMANOV
CONTROVERSIAL Hearts owner Vladimir Romanov has forked out £10,000 to buy Harry Potter's wand.
He went head-to-head with tycoon and ardent Hibs fan Sir Tom Farmer at a charity auction in Edinburgh on Friday.
Sir Tom finally bowed out of the bidding at £10,000, leaving the Lithuanian banker with the prized wooden wand.
Romanov attended the charity night for the One City Trust, which tackles poverty in Edinburgh, after flying back to Scotland with Hearts coach Valdas Ivanauskas.
He was optimistic the wand would help the team recover their form.
Hearts spokesman David Southern said: "Let's hope he can weave some magic now he's back."
