ELLIOT: I'M WELL UP FOR RETURNSTRIKER Calum Elliot last night vowed to ease the Tynecastle turmoil by scoring the goals to revive Hearts' stuttering season. The 19-year-old will return next month from a loan spell at Motherwell which so far has seen him hit two goals in 14 appearances. Well wanted to keep the player but Hearts head coach Valdas Ivanauskas wants him back. Elliot said: "I've enjoyed my time at Motherwell and I think I've progressed. "Hopefully when I go back to Hearts I can use what I've learned to my advantage and impress. There will be a lot of competition but that just means you have to raise your game to get a start. I'll go back and work hard. "I'm disappointed I've only scored two goals at Motherwell but hopefully I can work on that and help Hearts climb the table. I also want to do the same at Motherwell b efore I leave. "I'll get my head down, work hard and try to show Valdas I'm good enough for a regular game. "I'm contracted to Hearts and I'm happy to be going back. Whatever else happens at Tynecastle will take care of itself." ![]() Taken from the Daily Record |
