HEARTS WIN RACE FOR COPILBy Craig Swan HEARTS yesteray beat Celtic in the race for Romanian superkid Dumitru Copil - with the teenager landing a £1000-a-month deal to move to Tynecastle. Hearts snatched the teenager billed as the new Georghi Hagi from under the Parkhead club's nose and the 16-year-old midfielder will move to Edinburgh next week after the Gorgie outfit agreed a deal with Copil's club Glorea Arad. The Jambos were first to take notice of Copil's talent, but Celtic arrived on the scene last week aiming to hijack the deal. Scouts dished out glowing reports to manager Gordon Strachan and the youngster seemed destined for a move to Glasgow's East End. But Hearts upped their interest after hearing of Celtic's move and Copil is heading to Tynecastle after an undisclosed fee was agreed with Glorea. Copil said: "I am not going to Celtic any more.
