KANE: IT'S TIME TO AXE ZIBIDERBY DAY MAYHEM: THE AFTERMATH... PAUL KANE insists Hibs fans have lost patience with blunder keeper Zibi Malkowski and want him axed against Dunfermline. Malkowski had another afternoon to forget in the 3-2 defeat by Hearts. The Pole spilled a tame Paul Hartley free-kick to gift Edgaras Jankauskas an easy tap-in. It was the latest in a string of keeper calamities by Malkowski and supporters now want out-of-favour Simon Brown or Scotland Under-19 star Andrew McNeil installed in his place. Former Easter Road star Kane attends most Hibs games and last night he said: "Since John Collins came in as manager, Zibi has probably played to a higher standard than he did before. "However, it works against the team if he's seen as the fall guy. "Then when he makes these mistakes against our local rivals it makes matters even worse. "It's up to John. Has he got thoughts of another keeper when the transfer window opens? "He's not had the chance to do anything yet but from next week he will have. We'll wait and see." ![]() Taken from the Daily Record |
