FLYNN FEARS ROBBO EXITBy Alan Marshall LIVINGSTON owner Pearse Flynn admitted it's only a matter a time before his manager John Robertson is lured from Almondvale. Robbo is in the frame with his former Hearts team-mate Craig Levein for the vacant Dunfermline job after Jim Leishman decided to take on his old role as director of football. And with the manager also a target for Dundee United - should Craig Brewster lose his battle to stay at Tannadice - Flynn believes it may only be a matter of time before he too is looking for a new coach. Flynn said: "As yet no club has approached us for permission to speak to John but I've been in the game long enough now to know that often doesn't mean anything.A few weeks ago we had speculation with him going to Dundee United. "Now it's Dunfermline and if they don't make their move then it will be the next SPL club that decides to change a manager. "If they come along and pay us a huge amount of money to get him and we can't convince him to stay then fair enough, we'll have to move on. "The one thing we will always do is try our best to convince John that this is the right place for him to be." ![]() Taken from the Daily Record |
